I’m not a gear-head. I usually tend towards buying cheaper stuff (student budget, ya know?). I don’t write Amazon reviews (never have before). But this pack rules. It is my favorite consumer item. I like it enough that I decided to come online and write about it. That much. Why?
love this bag!

I bought this bag for a trip to Europe – I was told by many that this would never hold two weeks of stuff, but I pack organized and light, and this bag ended up serving me well. My husband got a top loader, but I really liked the panel loader and didn’t have to unpack the whole bag to get to something on the bottom.
As expected, a great backpack

This is an excellent pack and I’m happy with my purchase. My only critiques so far are echoing previous reviews in that the “water bottle pouches” need to be taller so bottles don’t fall out as easily, and the zippers on the belt pouches are difficult to use. Still a great pack.
A Great Pack!!

I bought this pack for long day hikes in the Adirondack high peaks and it has turned out to be one of the best gear purchases I have ever made. 28 liters is more than adequate space for a well stocked first aid kit, several layers and a hearty lunch. The hydration sleeve on the outside of the pack is a real plus and the hip belt pockets are handy for quick stash items like a pocket knife or an iPhone. Most important, this pack is extremely comfortable. After a full day on the trail, sometimes 15 to 20 miles, I hardly even notice it’s there. This is a well crafted pack!
Great smaller technical pack

I am a bit of a freak when it comes to torso length. It is very difficult for me to find packs that fit correctly. Osprey packs are on of the few that have a range of well sized packs especially in smaller sizes like the Kestrel 32.

So far so good. Great pack. Plenty of room. I like the zipper pulls. Not sure the tracking pole loops is incredibly useful for poles but they can be strapped to the back as well. So far, I’m very happy with the product!
My favorite day pack
I use this for long day hikes. Distributes weight very well. This is even comfortable when running. The extra space leaves room for some extra supplies in the event something goes wrong and you need to spend an unexpected night in the woods.
Highly recommended pack for day trips, over nighters, and Disneyland!
Absolutely outstanding pack. I’ve used this pack regularly for day hikes and for trips to Disney and other destinations with my kids. It has plenty of room for a days worth of gear and is very comfortable, particularly with the back vent system.
Great product and the warranty
Great product and the warranty, is a no brainier. I have used Osprey packs for a long time. Great over all product, but not every product is the best. So some times your not total happy with the product. I.E. Did not come with hydration system. With that in mind I would say it is very good quality and will be of great construction. I would definitely recommend thesis brain.
This pack is great for day hikes and overnight trips
This pack is great for day hikes and overnight trips. As a 5’5″ female, I opted for the S/M size, and it fits nicely. As many reviewers have pointed out, there could be more pockets. It has a small mesh pocket at the top, one main compartment and the mesh pocket on the front (as well as 2 hip pockets). I wish Opsrey would have added a divider/pocket at the bottom like I’ve seen in other models. That way you could extend your main storage area, or divide it for dirty/wet items.
