Love it, easy setup and easy tear down
Love it, easy setup and easy tear down. Used it in Leo Carillo by the beach in SoCal and Hodgdon Valley in Yosemite so far this summer Stood up great to the wind and zero moisture/condensation issues. It fits our family perfectly, two adults and one child. Vestibules allow space and protection for boots and packs with still plenty of space in the tents itself. Little dude loves the tent so much he has us set it up outside at home just to hang out in.
Great tent, great price. Very waterproof.

This is a great little tent. Through a debacle with FedEx the shipment we were to receive from Amazon never arrived, but we still managed to get our hands on this tent, and Amazon was super helpful with our refund, which is unrelated to the tent of course.
I have spent a lot of time in tents over the years, this is my second Kelty Gunnison series tent. This tent is easy to set up for one person, and very water tight. I am very impressed with this tent.
Great tent for a queen sized mattress with lots of extra room for gear
and loved it, but needed another for more room

we already have the kelty 3.1 version of this tent, and loved it, but needed another for more room. this tent sleeps myself, my wife and our child comfortably. ended up raining on us and kept us dry. im 6’1″ and was able to have plenty of room to stretch out. tent will fit 3 adult sleeping mats with no problem. tent literally goes up in less than 5 mins easiest tent i have ever used. kelty makes a good product!
Gunnison is a great tent

I have the Gunnison 4.1, which is the model prior to the current 4.2 version. The differences between the two are minor; the 4.2 version adds windows to the fly and changed the location of the vents in the fly from the front/back to the sides. Whether the windows will turn out to be a weak spot I don’t know. As far as setup and takedown, the new and older models are the same. The Gunnison can be set up in just a few minutes with 2 people, or even one person although getting the poles into place by yourself is slightly more challenging. (Chances are if you’re setting up a 4 man tent you’re probably not camping by yourself anyway!) As far as waterproof goes, the Gunnison nails it. I just spent 2 nights in my tent and it rained for 24 hours straight, some light rain and some downpour. I really figured I’d have a little water seeping in from somewhere, but when I packed up to leave the inside of the tent was dry as a bone. I’ve been very impressed with the Gunnison, so much so that I bought a second one for family camping. I was a bit concerned about the plastic “Jakes Foot” that Kelty uses to hold everything together, but they seem to be pretty strong and none have broken for me yet. The aluminum tent stakes they include are very lightweight but they bend really easily. In fact I’ve purchased stronger steel pegs as they’re a little more forgiving if you hit a rock as you’re hammering them in. Replacement tent stakes are cheap and it doesn’t hurt to have extras on hand anyway. All in all, I’d highly recommend this tent.
