The Eberlestock G2M Gunslinger II was developed from the original GS05M Gunslinger. It has a slightly larger scabbard, to better accommodate weapons with larger cross-sections or bulky optics. The scabbard is wide at the bottom, giving the option of carrying weapons butt-down or butt-up. The main bag is the same size as the GS05M, so capacity is about the same. Like the Operator, it has both front loading and top loading features, giving exceptional accessibility and loading flexibility. The Eberlestock G2 is a great platform to make the ultimate "go bag." It is relatively compact, yet capable of internally storing an M-16/M-4/AR type weapon, water, ammo, and survival gear. Once in the field, the pack has good capacity, but has the added benefit of being really easy to lash additional gear to, simply by cranking on an external load with its built-in compression straps. The pack includes the GSTC Butt Cover, with pull-out sleeve. This allows you to fully enclose a rifle up to 60" long. Hydration sleeves on the back wall, semi-transparent tuck pockets, and Padlock (PALS) webbing fit out the interior. The top pocket assembly features a handy internal organizer, with several small pockets, pen holders, and a padded pocket which serves equally well for AR mags or for a PDA.Hunting packs made with NT1 Waterproof Microfleece, Tactical packs made with 1000 Denier nylon.Weight 6lbs 12oz, Capacity 2900 cu inches.

This is a good size 3 day pack as is right off the shelf. It conservatively measured out at 1900 cubic inches for the top pouch and main cargo bay’s combined storage area. (I think off the shelf it is about 2000 cubic inches but I measured on the conservative side not giving any room for the top gusset of the main cargo bay or exterior stash pockets). This is separate from the rifle scabbard, which will hold any rifle or shotgun ranging from a Ruger 10/22, Remington 870/Mossberg 500, AR-15/AK-47, M14/M1A to a Barrett .50 cal or equivalent. If you are using this as a hunting pack it will get any rifle out with you even over rough terrain like bouldering or climbing, while keeping your firearm very secure, yet accessible. The butt cover clips can be rigged to keep a rifle smaller in height from shifting around or allow a fishing rod and rifle like the 10/22 with optic to be carried. The clean out zipper on the scabbard is a very nice touch.

Very nice pack!

This is a very nice pack that I believe will suit my needs, I didn’t want to go very large because having that extra space would mean I would feel obligated to fill it! I needed a pack that would fit my survival gear while staying on the smaller side, this is it. However, it lost 1 star due to most review sites saying that the WXP 3l hydration bladders would fit in the pockets, they do but just barely and they stick out of the top quite a ways making the hooks unable to be used. Not a huge deal, but I wish I would have known this as I would have gotten the 2 Liter bladders especially since having the 3 liter ones uses up a LOT of internal room!

This is a really great bag. It is light for how big and durable it is. The straps are very comfortable. The lumbar support is a little aggressive, but I imagine many will carry much more than I do (or at least heavier things). It is a little clumsy at first to get the rifile in the scabbard with the shape of the back of the backpack (there is some contour to it, which feels very nice, but makes it narrow just after the opening of the scabbard, feels odd pushing the rifle in, but no actual problem). It works fine even with optics (fits a Stag Arms Super Varminter with 24 inch bull barrel without difficulty, and while AR based, this is a heavy rifle and big with optics. I only mention it because it is my longest and heaviest). Just took the bag on a pig hunt, and it worked great. I have to admit, it is also pretty sharp looking, which doesn’t hurt. The dry earth color is a little darker than in the pictures.

Extremely well made. Perfect for hunting. I use it for fishing trips like on lake Powell. I was in & out of the pack 20 times a day. It just kept getting better. The frame is key ! It is built for the manly man for thrashing it like crazy. I used some 550 cord on all the grab handles so it fit my hands. You can literally throw this pack around in gravel its so well made. I used it for 8 days and didn’t use all my clothes. I wore shorts mostly. I fit a extreme emergency pouch titanium kitchen pouch set, bath pouch, jacket, clothes, knives, all essentials for bug out bag, hats, water shoes, flip flops, sun stuff, lights, totally rigged, military 4 season sleeping bag, condor water pouch for day hikes. This is perfect for a get home Back pack too. I have 12 other packs but I’m done now. Get rain cover as an add

Would absolutely recommend this backpack

I purchased this for hunting as well as my INCH bag, the quality is unmatchable with any other backpack – it has so much molle on it that I could add anything I want to it. The padding for comfort is awesome and probably the thickest I have ever seen on a backpack of this type. This is a one and last purchase backpack – never need another one again

The rifle sleeve is perfect for carrying an M24 and I have used it …

I’m in the US Army Infantry and have used this pack the last 8 years in both Iraq and Afghanistan and it is still kicking. The rifle sleeve is perfect for carrying an M24 and I have used it to carry radios with the antennae sticking out as well. I have the additional frame and it carries loads of 50-60 lbs very comfortably.

Nice Pack…Could use some improvements

I purchased this pack through an intermediary (buddy who bought it and then wanted something bigger). The bag is solidly constructed with plenty of pockets and PALS webbing for gadget guys like me. I use shorter barrel rifles for hunting, so the rifle flopped a bit in the scabbard. The zippers are solidly constructed and easily open and close compartments. I added a 3L water bladder (pack can accommodate 2 3L bladders); it’s an okay fit but it does protrude at the top of the pocket compartment. My only beef about the pack is that it does not have compartments to expand its capacity to haul game. Overall, this is a nice pack.

I purchased this bag on the recommendation of a friend as well as some internet reviews, and I am very happy with the construction and overall finish. It is well designed and the materials are second to none.

Choosing this product was due to searching for a personal bug-out bag. The capacity of space is perfect (if not more than) for the amount of items in what I’m choosing to carry including my AR-15. This bag is highly constructed for an extreme durable usage with various pockets and comfortable paddings.
