Honestly the best hunting pack out there. Super light! When empty it compresses very small, but can expand to carry half an elk!(no bones, of course) A pack you can hunt in the timber with but still have the ability to carry the meat out, comfortably. Also, plenty of pockets to keep gear separated. Badlands unconditional guarantee is AWESOME. You break it, they fix it. Forever.

WOW… Plenty of room

Needed a pack with good amount of room for long hunting trips and double for weekend hike in camping trips. This pack has it all and them some more room! There are plenty of pockets so that organizing your equipment is made easier. I have had 65 lbs. total in the pack and it carried very well.

Worked great on elk hunting trip

Fits so much gear that I was able to pack everything I flew out with for a six-day elk hunt, including my 10″ boots. Very light and strong in the field. Two other guys in my group of five had this pack (one had strongly recommended after packing out elk with this pack on prior trip), and everyone was very happy with it. Used bottom access when rain set in and needed rain gear. The material is a bit noisy, but noticed that broke-in pack was quiet. Although I purchased the rain cover, one guy in group did not, and all seemed fine despite steady rain on a couple of days. The front waist belt zipper pockets only fit small items, but cavernous main storage area and the other deep pockets take everything you will need, with room to spare. And, straps cinch it down tight when lightly packed.

with no flaws and lookin great! The material is a little loud but compared …

Haven’t had a chance to use it yet, I will edit after. But it was delivered on time, with no flaws and lookin great! The material is a little loud but compared to Badlands silent stalker packs that is to be expected of any pack of this size. This will be my camping and hunting backpack. SO excited.

Best hunting backpack!

Carried this pack all over the mountains 2nd rifle season. Awesome hunting pack! It can be strapped down to shrink it down in size & if needed you can expand it out pretty big. The 4 zipper’d pockets on the back give access to a great amount of easily accessible storage. (Hard to see in the photos) There is a big pocket on the inside for a hydration bladder of your choice. You can route the tube out either top side of the pack thru the provided slots.

This pack is amazing. Very light but strong. So much room I can carry more than I probably should. The material is a bit noisy but this is not a day hunt pack this is get your gear to spike camp pack.

The most epic and comfortable convertible pack I have ever owned. Load it up with all of your back country camp gear, pack in a few miles, set up camp, and cinch it down to day pack size while you are chasing game. When you get your tag filled just loosen the cinch straps and it expands to frame pack capacity with enough room for an elk quarter and then some. No questions asked warranty means it will be the last pack you buy. Very pleased with the quality and durability. And stays super cool during those early season hunts. Chest straps stay close and tight so it is very easy to shoot your bow wearing this pack.

Awesome Product, tons of room and options

This backpack is very high quality and I would highly recommend this to a friend. Although the price is fairly high, you get what you pay for. The insane amount of pockets is great for anybody that likes to separate their goodies when hiking/camping or bugging out.

Used it a lot on a month long bow hunting trip for elk this fall. Used mainly for a day pack this year. With clothes, survival gear, butchering equipment and odds and ends the pack probably averaged 25 pounds. It was comfortable to carry day in and day out. Fit well enough to draw a bow and shoot almost any angle. The pockets on the belt could use redesigning as very little will fit in them when the waist belt is clipped. In order to use a belt pocket to hold a rangefinder the waist belt has to be left really loose. Likewise when you use the outside pockets on the pack, water bottles will not fit in the mesh carriers. As it is, the pack is pretty good-with a couple of minor changes it could be fantastic!

If you wanna carry meat— you need this pack….

I have now packed out 7 elk (quarters), and 3 mule deer (whole) with this pack, and to be quite frank, I’m not sure this pack can be beat. There are many pack systems out there pushing the limits of $1000 once you get all the add-ons you need that I’m sure would perform, but why spend insane amounts of money when you can buy this? I can carry two elk quarters at a time, and have room for my standard day pack load… AS WELL AS ROOM FOR backstraps, tenderloins and other trim meat. As I mentioned, I have done a great deal of meat hauling and it has yet to rip or breakdown. Buckles, zippers and seams have all held up amazingly well (I half expect those areas to be problematic on any pack when hauling elk) and I am 100% confident in my load each time I put it on.
