It’s a 2 pound ultralight backpack. Material seems/feels sturdy- durable for an ultra-light pack. I almost didn’t buy it due to the lack of description but I’m glad I did. Here ya go, hope this helps….

Light, lots of pockets, bottom access, compressible

I just took this for a week-long trip to Peru. I used it as a travel pack, not as a trekking pack, though I would be glad to take it trekking too. Was very pleased. Amazingly light at about 2 pounds. Has lots of pockets: Main pocket, two stretchy side water bottle pockets each able to hold up to a 2.5-liter bottle, a front stash pocket for stashing a jacket or the like without opening any zippers, a front zipper pocket (facing you in photo), pockets on the waist belt, and pockets on the top and bottom of the pack’s hood. The pack’s compression straps made it possible to make the pack much smaller than 55 liters so flight crews allowed me to carry it on all five of my flights. The main pocket has an opening on one side of its bottom for alternative access to the main compartment, though I actually didn’t use it. Seemed rugged enough; I have heard that some light packs are easily damaged, but I did not feel that I had to be gentle with this one. Lumpy items in pack did not poke my back because of a thin rigid plastic sheet built into the pack in the surface that faces the wearer, like in many modern internal frame packs. I didn’t use the waist belt because all waist belts cut off my blood circulation too much, but I just tried it now for the the sake of this review and it seems like it would be comfortable enough for extended use. The belt’s height seems pretty adjustable by adjusting the length of the shoulder straps.

A girl’s review for a lovely pack!

The Asolo pack was to be used for an Appalachian Trail thru hike (2,200 miles). Chose the pack for its weight and size. The pack did not fit me after many trial runs – but I worked diligently to make it work. No go – so the pack became my wifes number one choice and she loves it as it fits her perfect. The design of the pack is first rate.

I’m new to backpacking, but wanted the lightest pack I could afford. This is a very nice pack. Very light. Material seems pretty good. Straps are a little thin, but not too bad. It is half the weight of the first pack I ordered and holds almost as much.

Great bag for hiking!

Loved how the bag feels so comfortable to be carried up the mountains even with full set of gear… tent, clothing, cookware, food. Lots of space and pockets to place handy items.

I like it alot

We HAVE NOT taken this into the woods yet, but works great for train travel. I don’t know about the airline baggage handlers, but I take care of my stuff, so we’ll see. The adjust-ability is wonderful! I bought this because of it’s price and I have worn Asolo footwear for years and I have been a faithful follower.
